Distance: 5.5 miles
Time: 50:03
Pace: 9:06 mile

This was my longest distance run. EVER. Booya.

The LA Roadrunners training schedule was for 45 minutes of aerobic exercise, so I definitely hit that mark. For the most part, I felt good, but I had to mix in some walking between miles 3 and 5. Looking back, it was a more mental obstacle than a physical one. My legs and lungs felt fine, but overcoming that much running for the first time was difficult. I sprinted the last quarter mile, so I know I had enough left physically—next time, I’ll be more mentally prepared for a long run.
