COMMENTS:
Whew. After yesterday’s long run, it was hard to get mentally ready for this run. The training schedule called for 30 minutes of aerobic recovery, while my LA Roadrunner pace leader suggested 6 miles. Maybe it’s just me, but 6 miles after a 7 mile run does not fit my definition of a “recovery” run!

My body was still feeling the effects of yesterday’s long 7 mile run as the ball of my right foot was a bit sore and my left ankle was a little tight. I considered cutting the run to 3 miles, but decided I could run through the slight pain and finished on schedule.

However, about an hour after the run, my left hip—which has been a constant injury point on my body—started to tighten. I did some stretching and while it’s getting better, it’s still pretty tight. I plan on doing some more stretching tonight and taking a rest day tomorrow.
